Hoshiarpur district lies in the
North-Eastern corner of the Punjab with Himachal Pradesh on its
North-East, Gurdaspur district on its North-West, Jalandhar on its
South-West, Nawanshehr on its South and Ropar district on its
South-Eastern sides. The land of Hoshiarpur falls between two
rivers i.e. Beas and Sutlej and is popularly called as DOABA. Beas
river runs along its North-Western side whereas Sutlej is on its
South-Eastern side. |
